Evan managed the construction of a children’s hospital extension wing at Surrey Memorial Hospital, with Bird Construction Company. Working in a complex healthcare environment, he coordinated healthcare-related HVAC, medical gas, electrical headwall layouts and other critical systems. His responsibilities included liaison with owners and consultants, design and budget control, implementation of ISO 9000 quality management plans, coordination of progressive handover of areas, chairing meetings, and full contract and subcontract administration on this major healthcare project.
